Old Weller Antique 107 Bourbon, particularly in its iconic “dumpy” bottle, carries a rich legacy within the world of wheated bourbons. Produced by the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery until the early 1990s, this bottle’s rounded shape and classic label evoke a bygone era of American whiskey-making. The 107 proof expression became a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts for its distinctive bottle design and connection to the Weller lineage, which traces back to William Larue Weller, a pioneer of using wheat instead of rye in bourbon mashbills. Today, the “dumpy” Old Weller Antique 107 is highly sought-after, representing a piece of whiskey history and a nod to the Stitzel-Weller days before Buffalo Trace took over production and updated the bottle design. This version remains a prized find, cherished for its association with a transformative period in Kentucky bourbon heritage.
