Don’t let the packaging fool you: Wild Turkey "Cheesy Gold Foil" (CGF) is known as some of the very best bourbon Wild Turkey ever produced. This bourbon is from the glut era—where producers made more than they could sell—and is generally believed to contain bourbon significantly older than the stated 12 years.
Did You Know? CGF began in 1985 and ran until 1992, domestically. It continued to be exported to Japan for several years prior to switching to the split-label style.
