The 2019 William Larue Weller is a highly sought-after release from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, renowned for its wheated bourbon profile. Named after the 19th-century whiskey pioneer William Larue Weller—credited with introducing wheat into bourbon mashbills—this annual release honors his legacy of innovation. The 2019 bottling was distilled in the spring of 2007 and aged for over 12 years in new charred oak barrels, emerging at an assertive 128 proof. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in a tall, elegant design with gold script and signature, highlighting its collectible appeal. As part of BTAC, this edition reflects the ongoing reverence for historic names in American whiskey, drawing enthusiasts and collectors alike with its rich backstory and limited availability. The 2019 release remains a prized piece for those who appreciate the evolution of wheated bourbon and the history it represents.
