William Larue Weller is a cornerstone in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, celebrated for its homage to one of bourbon’s original innovators. The 2020 release, bottled at 134.5 proof, continues the legacy of wheat-forward bourbon pioneered by Weller in the 19th century. Each annual release is highly anticipated by collectors and enthusiasts, not only for its limited availability but also for its connection to bourbon history. The tall, elegant bottle and distinctive wax-sealed neck set it apart visually, while the script label nods to its heritage. As part of the BTAC lineup, this edition has become a highly sought-after symbol of prestige in American whiskey, representing a direct lineage to the early days of Kentucky distilling and the evolution of wheated bourbon styles. Collectors value this release as a piece of living history, capturing the spirit of innovation that defines the Weller legacy.
