Early bottlings of Elmer T. Lee were released in what many now jokingly refer to as one of the ugliest bottles of all time. The 90 proof version was marked "single barrel" but interestingly, the 107 proof version was not.

This bottle design was phased out completely when Sazerac renamed the George T. Stagg/Ancient Age distillery to Buffalo Trace in the late 90s.
