Elijah Craig 12 Year Barrel Proof Bourbon (Batch A117) represents a milestone in the legacy of Kentucky bourbon. Named for the Baptist preacher credited by many with pioneering charred oak aging, Elijah Craig’s lineage dates back to the late 18th century. This bottle, part of Heaven Hill’s highly sought-after Barrel Proof series, was released in early 2017 and bottled at a striking 127 proof. Each batch is uncut and unfiltered, capturing the pure essence of the aging process. The “A117” designation marks it as the first batch of 2017, prized by collectors for its unique profile and limited release. The classic bottle shape—embossed with the Elijah Craig name and featuring a distinctive gold-accented label—has become instantly recognizable among enthusiasts. This release honors the enduring influence of Elijah Craig in shaping the bourbon tradition and holds a respected place in any serious collection.
