Pappy Van Winkle’s 15 Year Family Reserve Bourbon stands as one of the most coveted releases from the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery. The 2022 edition carries forward a legacy that began in the early 20th century, when Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle Sr. first made waves in Kentucky’s bourbon world. Bottled at 107 proof, this expression is aged for a full decade and a half, reflecting the Van Winkle family’s commitment to extended maturation. The instantly recognizable label, featuring a portrait of Pappy himself, hints at the bottle’s deep roots in bourbon history. Each annual release is highly anticipated, with the 2022 bottling continuing to capture the attention of collectors and enthusiasts alike. This rare spirit honors a multi-generational tradition, cementing its place as a touchstone in American whiskey lore.
