Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye is a cornerstone of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, honoring the legacy of the legendary New Orleans bartender credited with popularizing rye whiskey cocktails in the 1800s. The 2013 release, bottled at an assertive 128.4 proof, stands out among collectors for its rare intensity and limited availability. Each annual edition is eagerly anticipated, with the 2013 vintage gaining special attention due to its scarcity and the growing reputation of BTAC releases during that period. The bottle’s classic design, featuring the Sazerac House, pays homage to the roots of American cocktail culture. Enthusiasts seek this release not only for its historical connections but also for its place in the evolution of collectible rye whiskey, making it a prized piece for aficionados and collectors alike.
