According to Buffalo Trace, Elmer T. Lee personally selected the barrels for this one-off limited edition commemorative release.
In addition, the bottle itself is adorned with Elmer's trademark plaid hat, a plaid border around the front label, a plaid neckband and also a matching neck tag.
Elmer passed away in 2013 just a few weeks shy of his 94th birthday and a couple years after this commemorative release was bottled.
