Colonel E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon is a unique piece of American whiskey lore. In 2006, a tornado tore through Buffalo Trace Distillery, ripping the roof off Warehouse C and exposing hundreds of aging barrels to the elements. The whiskey inside these barrels continued to mature for several more years, influenced by the unusual conditions. In 2011, Buffalo Trace bottled a limited release of this extraordinary bourbon at 100 proof, under the Colonel E.H. Taylor line. Its label and tube highlight the story, making it a sought-after collector’s item that captures a remarkable event in distilling history.
