The 2017 release of George T. Stagg from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection stands as a highly sought-after expression in the world of bourbon. Bottled at 129.2 proof and aged for 15 years, this edition draws from barrels laid down in the early 2000s, embodying the enduring legacy of its namesake, George T. Stagg—a 19th-century bourbon pioneer and influential figure in the history of the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Each annual release is anticipated by collectors and enthusiasts, with the 2017 bottling regarded for its limited availability and connection to the legendary lineage of Stagg bottlings. The bottle’s distinctive antlered logo and detailed labeling have become synonymous with rarity and prestige, making it a centerpiece for any serious collection. This release is a striking example of a heritage Kentucky straight bourbon, reflecting the long tradition of excellence at Buffalo Trace.
